Samsung is not the name you think of when it comes to discussing fast software updates. The company takes its own sweet time to bring out its system updates along with a new and improved skin on top. Hence, while Google releases its updates usually around September, Samsung brings it out for its flagship devices by January of next year, complete with the customised skin and new features. This is also the case with this year's Android 10 rollout but this time, the wait won't be as long as it usually is.
According to a new report from Sammobile, Samsung's list of devices set to get Android 10 update based on One UI 2.0 has been released and this time, a lot of devices are getting the update faster than ever before. In fact, by July of 2020, a majority of Samsung's new phones are getting the Android 10 update. And that's good news for all Samsung phone users.
The Android 10 update for Samsung phones will bring the One UI 2.0, which is essentially a more refined version of last year's One UI interface. Not much has been revealed about the new interface but the new update will incorporate all the core Android 10 features such as enhanced privacy and location settings, an all-new focus mode, new gesture controls and more.
As has been the tradition, the flagship phones will initially get the One UI 2.0 update. And users of the premium Samsung phones should expect that beforehand. In January 2020, Samsung will release the Android 10 update for these phones: Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy M20, Galaxy M30, Galaxy A30, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+.
